Real Property Gain Tax 2015


Rates of real property gains tax remain unchanged
With effect from 1 January 2014, the revised real property gains tax (“RPGT”) rates for the disposal of real property and shares in real property companies are as follows:
The holding period of 2, 4, 5 and 6 years refers to the period between the date of the acquisition of the property and the date of disposal of such property.
There have been no changes to the RPGT rates under the Budget 2015 announcement.
